Jacob's First Tooth

We were in the car, on our way home from KLCC this afternoon (at about 12.50pm) when I felt Jacob's first tooth. Can you imagine my excitement? I've been waiting for his teeth to grow but there were no sign of it until now. He is exactly 8 and a half months old today and his tooth finally decided to show.

For the past couple of days (or since he turned 6 months), without fail, I've been putting my fingers in his mouth just to feel if any of his teeth was growing. Every time I did, I only felt his soft gums but this time was different. This time I felt something sharp and when I try to peek at it, Jacob sticks out his tongue. His first tooth is on the bottom which I think is normal for most babies. Prior to this, I was worried that he was going to be toothless because other babies his age already have a few sets of teeth and he had none. I remembered asking mom on Sunday "Are there such things as baby born without teeth?"...It's a crazy thought but it is not impossible isn't it? And mom said Jacob's teeth takes longer to show but he will not be toothless for sure.

Just this afternoon I asked hubby the same question and he thought it was nonsense. He said there is not such thing as baby born toothless and I told him "it's not impossible cos some people are born with roots growing out of their body"....hahaha... I laugh myself to death thinking of my foolish worries.

Jacob's tooth heard me and finally decided to show himself today.
