Jacob is exactly 7 months old and has mastered one ability: to sit without support. Indeed, he can. He just did it 2 days ago and we were so proud of him. Precisely, I wouldn't claim "without total support" but he could last for about one minute without us holding him. Usually, he would bent forward with his two hands spread apart for support and now, he could pull himself up and sit upright.
Apart from sitting, he has also learnt to observe things around him. He has been doing this for the past one month and is always curious about his surroundings. He will usually stare at an object for very long as though he is trying to decipher what the object is doing and then shift his gaze towards a 'new' object. He will continue to observe until he gets tired. Sometimes when hubby and I are deep in conversation, he will remain quiet and observe us without interrupting. I find that he is very mature at such tender age. So gao (hokkien word for clever).
